Tennis Footwork Mat © / Group Dynamics

The following are examples of exercising in a group with other tennis players, which makes it a more social and entertaining activity.

(a) Two or more players take turns in a “follow the leader” dynamic where the first player performs an exercise sequence and the players that follow try to repeat it.

The “follow-the-leader” dynamic may be performed using a single mat or different mats for each player.

(b) A variation of the above with an added factor of complexity is the “inverse mirror” where the players “mirror” the exercise sequences performed by the first player, but using the opposite leg.

(c) Inverting the order of the exercise so that the second player starts from the end point and proceeds to the beginning of the motion performed by the first player.

(d) Two or more players take turns competing among them to perform the most creative exercise sequence.
